In the Sahih of al-Bukhari, the Prophet ﷺ said:
“Whoever, when he hears the muezzin, says: 'O Allah, Lord of this perfect call and this established prayer, grant Muhammad the wasilah and the eminence, and resurrect him to a praised station that You have promised him' — for him is permitted my intercession on the Day of Judgement.”
“Al-Waseelah” — the means, the way, the connection — is the highest station in Paradise. It is what the Prophet ﷺ taught us to ask for him.
For us, the name carries a humbler meaning too: the practical means by which a UK family makes it to Makkah and Madinah. The plane ticket. The hotel. The transfer. The guide. The hundred small things that turn an intention into a journey.
We started in 2020, helping families in our own Birmingham community plan their Umrah. There was no grand business plan — just people we knew, asking us to help. Word travelled. Friends recommended family. Family recommended neighbours. By 2024 we were serving pilgrims from across the UK, and in February 2025 we formally incorporated Al-Waseelah Tours Ltd.
The work hasn't changed. Our customers aren't bookings on a spreadsheet — they're parents going for the first time, families with young children, elders being supported by their children. We arrange the logistics so they can focus on what truly matters.
That is what we mean by al-waseelah. The means to a journey that already belongs to you.
